Bancroft

Bancroft lies to the north of Milton Keynes. The old railway town of Wolverton is nearby. The name Bancroft comes from an old field name. The remains of a Roman Villa have been excavated in the area and the streets take their names from a Roman theme, eg. Hadrians Drive, Caesars Close and Octavian Drive

Education is at a number of schools depending on where you live. Bradwell Village Middle School, New Bradwell Combined and Priory Common First School all serve different parts of the area up to the age of 12. Stantonbury Campus provides secondary education and has a sixth form.
