Blakelands

Blakelands is a residential and industrial area situated in North Milton Keynes. On the estate is one of many balancing lakes in Milton keynes (see Pineham). Tongwell Lake (pictured below) is surrounded by parkland and is home to many species of wildlife.

The name Blakelands is Anglo-Saxon for Bleak lands.The themes of the street names in Blakelands are divided in to field names and names associated with the industrial revolution.

Nearest amenities are situated in Great Linford, Giffard Park, Bolbeck Park, Pennyland and Newport Pagnell.
