Caldecotte

Caldecotte is a residential area situated in South Milton Keynes. Caldecotte also has a lake which is used for water sports. Pictured below is the Caldecotte Arms, Premier Lodge and Caldecotte Mill.

Caldecotte takes its name from the original Anglo Saxon name meaning cold cottages. The area is listed in the Domesday Book as Caldecote with 2 mills.

Nearest amenities are situated in Walton, Walton Park, Simpson and Walnut Tree.

Caldecotte Lakeside

Adjacent to Caldecotte Lake (South), towards the centre of the Caldecotte grid square.

The main build programme started in early October 2006 and will see Caldecotte Lakeside deliver 109 new homes and a seven-unit apartment hotel together with an 80-place nursery. The development includes the provision of 33 "affordable" homes. Graham Hyslop, Senior Regeneration Manager at Milton Keynes Partnership, said, "This is an exciting new development and will help to make Caldecotte Lakeside a truly sustainable community. The promontory land is to remain undeveloped and will be transferred from English Partnerships to Milton Keynes Parks Trust upon completion of the development in 2008". "We are extremely pleased that the scheme is now underway. We believe that the development will enhance what is already an impressive part of Milton Keynes by producing something all can be proud of", said Jason Davis, Associate Director at Henry Davidson Developments.
