Oakhill

Oakhill is a new area of housing in the south west of Milton Keynes. The development is almost finished with just some landscaping to be completed. It is a relatively small area and is situated adjacent to HMP Woodhill. Don't let this put you off though, the prison is maximum security!

All of the streets are tree lined and it is a safe area for children to play outside. The name Oakhill for the estate comes from the adjoining woods 'Oakhill Wood'. The nearest secondary school is Hazeley School. It is located right next to Oakfield roundabout, which means that the whole of Oakhill is within a 5 minute walk from the school. Oakhill is also very close to Shenley Wood which is beautiful and great for walking and cycling. This area in Milton Keynes is obviously abit closer to Buckingham and Aylesbury than other areas in Milton Keynes are, which can be a bonus when looking for somewhere new to shop. Another great place close to Oakhill is Westcroft District Centre. Here you can find a post office, library, Pizza Hut and KFC. There are also huge retail outlets such as Next, Instore and Boots. Ikea, Asda and the brand new MK Dons stadium are only a 5 minute drive from Oakhill. At the moment there is hardly any development to the South and East of Oakhill.
