Simpson, Walton, Walton Park

Walton is home to Caldecotte Lake and has many areas of parkland. The Hoechst pharmaceutical research centre is also based there.Simpson is a residential area situated in South Milton Keynes. In Simpson, some houses and cottages are dated from the 17th Century. Pictured below is Simpson Church.

Simpson takes its name from the original village. This village is listed in the Domesday Book under the Angol Saxon name of Sigewine's tun with a mill. On the banks of the River Ouzel, there's the site of a medieval moat and fishponds. The theme for the street names in Simpson derive from local history. Walton takes its name from the original village which was the Anglo Saxon name Walla's tun (tun meaning farm).
