Tinkers Bridge

Tinkers Bridge lies to the south of the city alongside the Grand Union Canal. It is named after a canal bridge and the street names come from canal associations eg.Blisworth and Broadwater.

A narrow housing grid square alongside the canal. This was one of the first areas in the new city to be constructed. The main rental development is of two storey terraced houses built between 1972 and 1974. The sale housing is suitably near to the Open University. There is a local park, a general store and a meeting place. Education is at Simpson Combined School and Sir Frank Markham for secondary school education.
